Associate VP of Custom Programs

Laura joined ISA in 2005 as a University Relations Representative and spent four years in this role representing ISA in Minnesota, N. Dakota, S. Dakota, Iowa and Missouri. She then took on the role of Regional Director of University Relations, and for two years worked with representatives traveling throughout the U.S. In 2011, Laura transitioned into the newly created position, Director of Partnership Programs, and enjoyed the opportunity to develop innovative program models and work with universities in a new capacity. In 2012, Partnership Programs became a part of the Custom Programs division, and Laura transitioned to the role of Associate Director before becoming the Director of the department in 2014. In addition to working with universities on unique program models, Laura is excited to be the Custom Program Manager for Asia, as this is where she spent the majority of her time abroad. Laura graduated from Trinity University with a B.A. in International Politics and Chinese and spent a semester studying in Beijing. After graduating, she spent two years as an English Tutor at Lingnan University in Hong Kong, during this time accompanying study abroad groups to mainland China and England.

Director, Program Development

A University of Houston alumnae, Chelsea graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2011 with a B.A. in Communications Public Relations. During her undergraduate career, Chelsea studied abroad in London where her appreciation and love for the international experience grew exponentially. With a passion for international education, she moved to Seoul, South Korea after graduation in order to teach English to Korean students. After a year of living in South Korea, Chelsea moved back to America to be closer to her family. Chelsea joined ISA as an intern for the Association of Global Universities, where she was a part of the launch of ISA's Master’s programs, performing alumni outreach to generate interest in the new programs. Chelsea went on to join the Custom Programs team immediately following her internship. Chelsea's life dream is to visit every continent including Antarctica; she loves good books, British humor, Korean BBQ, and Italian wine.

Associate Director, Account Management

Diego was born and raised in Italy, where he divided his time between the dynamicity of Naples and the tranquility of Campobasso (rural central Italy). He graduated Cum Laude from Franklin University Switzerland with a B.A. in International Relations and History, and a minor in Communication Studies. While at Franklin University, Diego gained valuable experience working in a variety of settings related to international education, student affairs and intercultural engagement. He has traveled to over 25 countries and speaks four languages (English, Italian, French and Spanish).  Diego looks forward to working with ISA to create exciting and rewarding programs in Italy and Greece. 

Senior Program Development Specialist

Acquiring a taste for international travel at the young age of 14 when she went on her first mission trip to the Bahamas, Courtney's love of travel has since been a consuming passion. She was able to experience the wonders of England and Ireland while still in high school, which further fueled her desire to see the world and to set the goal of visiting every continent. During her time at university, Courtney spent six months in Buenos Aires, Argentina, studying at the Universidad Belgrano. During her time in Argentina she was able to visit Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. Armed with a passion for studying abroad, she then completed her last semester of college in Spain, studying at the University of Granada and making a side trip to Morocco (to check Africa off her list!) After graduation, she spent two years in Seoul, relishing making a difference in the lives of her young students. After her time in South Korea, Courtney decided to settle in Austin, with the hope of helping others realize the amazing opportunity and life changing moments that studying abroad provides. She is passionate about language and travel, having visited every continent except Antarctica, and is excited to be a part of the ISA team.

Account Manager

Katherine, originally from Atlanta, Georgia, earned a bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, in 2011. During her time at Samford, Katherine spent a semester in 2009 studying in London, England, at the university's study center, the Daniel House. This experience led her to become an enthusiastic advocate for study abroad, particularly among university students. She returned to London in January of 2011 to work as the student assistant at the Daniel House. After graduating from Samford, Katherine spent seven months backpacking through New Zealand, working in various capacities and exploring. In the fall of 2012, she entered the Literary Studies Master's program at the University of Denver. She completed her Master's degree and became the ISA Site Specialsit for New Zealand and Fiji in 2014. She joined the ISA Custom Programs team in 2016. Along with England and New Zealand, she has spent time in Scotland, Ireland, Wales, France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Poland, Mexico, Peru, Haiti, Thailand, Cambodia, and Australia.

Account Manager

Tara's passion for traveling and Spain began on a trip to Europe after graduating from Miami University. On that trip, she visited many countries but fell in love with the Spanish culture and lifestyle, prompting her to move to Madrid to study Spanish. She had only planned to stay for seven months, but seven months turned into seven years. While living in Madrid, Tara taught English and had the opportunity to travel throughout most of Spain, Morocco and Europe. Eager for new adventures, she moved from Madrid to Paris and spent two years there. After nine years of living abroad, she is excited to be back in the US and is thrilled to be a part of ISA.

Account Manager

Stephanie has spent her time traveling and cultivating her passion for providing high quality exchange experiences for students all over the world. Stephanie graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 2009 during which time she studied abroad in Alcala de Henares, Spain. Eager to return, she continued her journey by completing a Masters in Bilingual and Multicultural Education from the University of Alcala de Henares. During her time in Spain, she also taught English at a local school. Upon returning to the U.S., Stephanie continued pursuing a career in International Education by completing a Master of Science in International/Intercultural Education from Florida International University. During her time in Florida, Stephanie gained invaluable experience interning in the Study Abroad Office at the University of Miami assisting with faculty-led programs and student advising. After traveling around and exploring the New England area, Stephanie ended up in Austin, TX where she began working with J-1 visa programs bringing university students to the U.S. from all over the world on a variety of training and cultural exchange programs. Stephanie is very passionate about the International Education industry and is very excited to work on developing and implementing quality programs abroad.

Program Development Specialist

Heather’s passion for education abroad was first sparked studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina while completing her B.A. in Spanish and Anthropology from Northern Arizona University. Since then, she has jumped on any opportunity to travel and learn more about different cultures around the world. In addition to travels throughout the Middle East and Europe, she also spent 2 months in Peru on an archaeological dig and 5 months in South Korea working in student affairs at the University of Utah Asia Campus. Heather recently received her Master of Arts in International Education Management from Middlebury Institute of International Studies. Heather is excited to continue her journey in the international education field with WorldStrides ISA Custom Programs by developing programs that inspire others to build their own toolkit of global perspectives. 

Account Manager

LeeAnn, a Colorado Native, earned her BA in International Studies from Elon University. While at Elon, she studied abroad in London, England and Perth, Australia. Seeing her transformation into a global citizen while abroad, sparked a passion for international education. After spending time in Washington DC and Los Angeles, LeeAnn moved to Denver where she recieved her MA from the University of Denver in International and Intercultural Communications with a concentration in International Education. LeeAnn is passionate about international exchange as a way to foster intercultural competencies. LeeAnn loves to run, hike, camp and travel in her free time. She has traveled to Thailand, Japan, Argentina, Uruguay, Russia, Australia, Iceland and throughout much of Western and Eastern Europe.

Global Service-Learning Manager

Born and raised in Austin, Bailey joined the ISA team in the spring of 2015. Bailey spent four months studying indigenous cultures and globalization in Peru, and she soon thereafter realized her passion for travel and international learning. In 2014, she graduated from Southwestern with a B.A. in Anthropology and minors in Spanish and Sociology. Bailey has traveled to Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, Peru, and the Caribbean and looks forward to many future adventures. Bailey enjoys hiking and swimming at the Greenbelt, playing sand volleyball, and kayaking with her dog. She's excited to be working with universities in the US and ISA's NGO partners abroad to help serve a wide range of communities and students through study abroad.

Program Development Specialist, University of Kentucky

After spending most of her early childhood moving every 3 years as a product of the Marine Corps, Sarah began her adventures at a very early age. Her most recent stop was in Lexington, Kentucky where she attended the University of Kentucky and received her BA in Integrated Strategic Communications and a minor in Spanish. Her journey with ISA initiated on a semester-long program to Sevilla, Spain where she spent afternoons walking through the Plaza de España, sipping café con leche and sharpening her Spanish with the locals. While abroad, Sarah also explored countries such as France, The Netherlands and Portugal and has since returned to Europe to visit Greece and England. Upon returning to Kentucky, she joined the ISA team as a Global Ambassador, further pursuing a career in international education. In her free time, she enjoys doing anything with her golden retriever, drinking lots of coffee and watching Spanish shows to keep her language proficiency skills fresh. She is excited and feels very lucky to be a part of such a well-rounded team. 

Custom Program Coordinator

Jean graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Management Information Systems, and began her career as an IT consultant in San Francisco. After realizing her true passion was in a helping profession working with students, she switched careers and obtained a master's degree in School Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. Jean has experience designing, implementing, and evaluating programs in schools and community based organizations, and providing academic/career/personal counseling to both domestic and international students. Jean's interest in international education began at a young age when her family lived in Singapore for four years, and she later studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark in college. To this day, she remains incredibly passionate about all things international (especially food!), and has traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia. Jean strongly believes all students should experience living outside of their home country as it truly teaches life skills you can?t learn from textbooks or in a classroom. She is excited to be part of such an impactful organization, and eager to work with universities to create unique study abroad experiences.

Program Development Representative
Stacy joined the ISA Custom Programs team in Spring 2017. She is originally in Pittsburgh, PA and received her B.S.Ed. in Secondary Education Spanish and Modern Language Certificate in Latin American Studies from Slippery Rock University in December 2010. Stacy's passion for traveling abroad was sparked by a faculty-led program to London that she attended in March 2008. Next, she studied abroad in Alcalá de Henares, Spain for 2.5 months in the summer of 2009. In May 2014, Stacy earned a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration & Student Personnel and Certificate in International Higher Education from Kent State University. While at Kent State, Stacy completed a faculty-led program to Sneem & Dublin, Irleand and Florence & Rome, Italy in May 2013. She has also traveled within the United Stated, Canada, China & Hong Kong, France, and Germany. After graduating from her Masters program, Stacy worked as a Residence Hall Director at Texas State University for 2.5 years. She is excited to begin her career in study abroad & international education and cannot wait to help create unique cross-cultural experiences for students going abroad with ISA! In her free time, Stacy loves watching TV & movies, exploring new foods/coffee, crafting/DIY projects, and spending time with her dog Elsa. 
Account Services Representative

Born and raised in Dallas, Heather is Texan through and through, and has danced her cowboy boots across the world. As a college sophomore, Heather spent nearly a month exploring and studying societal development and innovation in Israel, and quickly thereafter ignited her passion for travel, exotic foods, and cultural immersion. In 2015, she graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Health and a minor in Psychology. Heather has also voyaged to Grand Cayman, Jamaica, Lebanon, and Mexico; and she looks forward to many more adventures down the road. Her previous leadership roles have contributed to her “Teamwork Makes the Dream Work” attitude, honed her communication skills, and led her to discover her proficiency in helping others achieve their dreams. Heather joined the ISA team at the start of 2017 and she feels privileged to be working with university students as they get their first taste of the world. In her free time you will find Heather playing sand volleyball, floating the river with friends, and at Zilker Park with her dog, Moo.
